About us

The Europe Direct network of information offices (EDIC) is one of the main tools of the European Commission to engage with citizens on EU-related topics at local and regional level. There are three Europe Direct Centres which are designated to offer their services in Malta and Gozo: Europe Direct Valletta managed by Servizzi Ewropej f’ Malta – SEM; Europe Direct CORE managed by the CORE Platform; and Europe Direct Gozo, which is managed by the Gozo Business Chamber, for the period May 2021 to 2025.

Building Europe with Local Councillors

On Monday 24 April, Daniel Borg and Jesmond Buttigieg participated in the activity ‘Building Europe with Local Councillors’ organised by the European Commission Representation in Malta.  The aim of this project is to build a network of locally elected politicians, creating an alliance to better communicate the European Union.  Local councilors from both Malta and Gozo were present for the event. EUROPE DIRECT Ireland Citadel tour

On Wednesday 22 February 2023, EUROPE DIRECT Gozo welcomed a delegation of EUROPE DIRECT Ireland. Our EUROPE DIRECT Manager organised a cultural tour at the Citadel Visiting Centre and at the Fortress of the Citadel. Joint Testing Panels in Brussels

Jesmond Buttigieg from Europe Direct Gozo, together with Joe Sciberras from Europe Direct Valletta and Isabelle Anne Caruana Dingli representing the school teachers are taking part in joint testing panels in Brussels.
