EUROPE DIRECT Gozo today were back to school at the Sir MA Refalo 6th Form Institute in Victoria Gozo, to talk to the students about the European Union and the opportunities it offers to European Citizens who want to study or work within the European Institutions.
Jesmond Buttigieg Manager, EUROPE DIRECT Gozo, in his brief introduction explained the Centre’s main tasks, that is to disseminate information amongst the citizens about the European Union, to provide assistance, answer questions and tackle complaints were required
David Schembri from the Representation of the European Union in Malta, was the main speaker of the event. After a brief history about the Union, David listed all the opportunities available to the Maltese students such as Erasmus+, the possibilities to travel within Europe and to work in various European institutions. He also gave a brief account of his seven years experience, working as a translator in Luxembourg.
