On Saturday 11 May, EUROPE DIRECT Gozo in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo and Planning and the Directorate for Cultural Heritage, organised Europe Day at the Villa Rundle Gardens, Victoria, Gozo. This event formed part of the Spring Fair.
During this event colleagues from the European Commission Representation in Malta, the European Parliament Liaison Office and various other EU information providers were present at the fair, provided information, to the numerous visitors that came to Villa Rundle Gardens, about the European Union and what is the remit of each and every organisation within the Union. The information points gave other information about the European Union election which will also take place in Malta on 8 June 2024. The visitors enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere that was created by stalls which contained all sort of artisans work, taking part in the Spring Fair.
Globe Malta and Nature Trust also took part in this event sharing their expertise in their fields amongst all those who visited their stands.
Information sessions about the world of the bees entertained children, who eagerly listened attentively to the expert and afterwards enjoyed face painting and balloon decorations.
