On Tuesday 18 July 2023, EUROPE DIRECT Gozo organised the Network of Networks meeting. This was also a very important occasion, as we welcomed Lorenzo Vella, the Head of Representation of the European Commission Representation in Malta, here in Gozo.
Moreover, it was as a good platform for discussion with the other two EUROPE DIRECT Centres present in Malta. Discussions on various topics of interest took place with various Gozitan stakeholders with whom EUROPE DIRECT Gozo consistently collaborates throughout the year. Representatives from the European Commission Representation in Malta, the Institute for European Studies – University of Malta, Servizzi Ewropej f’Malta EUROPE DIRECT Valletta, EUROPE DIRECT CORE Platform, Cultural Heritage Directorate Ministry for Gozo, Gozo Development Regional Authority, GLOBE Malta, Malta Nature Trust – FEE Malta – Gozo Section, MCAST Gozo Campus and the Gozo Business Chamber, discussed various issues relating to the different EU related services which apply to a small island like Gozo and how Gozitans can benefit from such services.
The discussions were held at the Sentinella, a magnificent hall which is found in the heart of the Citadel in Victoria Gozo.
A special thanks goes to Stephen Cini, Assistant Director of the Cultural Heritage Directorate Ministry for Gozo, who after the meeting led a short tour around the Citadel and also in the Cittadella Visitors’ Centre, a project which was partly funded by EU funds.
