Event organised by the Europe Direct-Victoria Gozo to present awards to participating schools in the ‘The Europe Direct – Victoria Gozo /Eko Skola/ Leaf Award Scheme’ held at the St Francis School, Victoria. Schools developed projects on Traditional Farming, Local Organic Garden, EU Food and or Food Waste. The best project was awarded an aluminium greenhouse, sponsored by the Bank of Valletta plc. Europe Direct – Victoria Gozo sponsored the second and third places by presenting gardening tools and other materials.
The six schools which participated in this Award Scheme are the St Francis School which won the first prize, Gozo College Gharb Primary School placed second, Laura Vicuna School placed third, Gozo College Secondary School, Gozo College Sannat Primary School and Gozo College Rabat Primary School. Students from all schools presented short information about the project developed in their school.
